Introduction
All TS-Aligners use an
AGD type 2 dial
indicator with one inch travel, a 3/8" diameter stem, #4-48 stylus tip
threads, and a 1/4" loop back. This is the most common type of
dial indicator in the world. Graduations of 0.001"/div are ideal
for most woodworking applications. SawStop recommends a model with
graduations of 0.0005"/div. Currently, I offer four models which
can provide this resolution:
- Starrett
- Mitutoyo
- Brown & Sharpe
- Fowler Digital Electronic

Premium Dial Indicators
Well known for their high
quality these dial indicators represent industry standards that have
earned the highest reputation among professionals world wide. Choose one
of these indicators if you expect to be using your Aligner in an
industrial environment. Jeweled bearings, shockproof movements,
and hardened gear trains make these indicators ideal for the rough and
tumble treatment that is common in the commercial shop or on the factory
floor. These brands rival each other in accuracy, fit and finish.

Deluxe Dial Indicators
For durability at an affordable
price, you can't beat one of these mid-range models. While not as
famous as the high end brands, these indicators are every bit as
accurate. Ideal for the small shop where you expect to be using
your Aligner on a daily basis.

Economy Dial Indicator
I've tested dozens of low cost
indicators over the years and have found this one to be among the best
quality, accuracy, and value. Not quite as durable but every bit as
accurate as mid-range models at a great savings. This is your best
choice for home shop use. With a little TLC this indicator will
deliver reliable service for a long time. Appearance may
vary.
